"Hawan Sallah" Festival In Bukuru

"Hawan Sallah" festival is a royal procession of men mounted on horses and dressed in regalia, It’s a vibrant show of culture, It occurs after the end of the Muslim festivals of Eid al-Fitr and Eid al- Kabir.
The regiment, "Sarkin Dawaki" Alh. Muhammad Yusuf Dan Imamu, demonstrate their horsemanship, entertaining people on their cultural and historical heritage during his parade.
The 2022, "Hawan Sallah" festival in Bukuru led by "Sarkin Dawaki" Alh. Muhammad Y. Dan Imamu Bukur, and his entourage on horses accompanied him, round Bukuru and environ, expressing joy for Sallah Days celebration.
This tradition has remained an interesting one as large crowds follow the procession round Bukuru, with fully dressed horses, in splendid colourful attire, as drummers, trumpeters display.
"Sarkin Dawaki" Alh. Muhammad Yusuf Dan Imamu Bukur, takes off from Filin Sarki to Clark Quarters, Malan Idi to St. Peter street, through Gugiya roundabout to Congole Juction through Kaico to Bukuru B. Division down to Anguwan doki, Anguwan Mayango, Kerana, Sabin line, Yan lilow, Quata, layin Gwaiba to Umaru Yola before terminating at Madaki Street Bukuru.
Global News gathered that the "Hawan Sallah" celebration in Bukuru was hitch-free across the Ward as security operatives were deployed and followed the procession.
