In a statement issued on Sunday, Samuel said the group is committed to strengthening the APC nationwide through house-to-house mobilization and sensitization campaigns aimed at deepening the party’s reach.
He revealed that new branches of the movement would be inaugurated in Kaduna next week, with further expansion planned for Lagos, Ibadan Oyo, Ogun and Nasarawa State.
Samuel praised Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, APC National Chairman, for his leadership, while also commending Senator Simon Bako Lalong for his consistent role in promoting APC’s growth.
He further applauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing Plateau indigenes into strategic national positions, noting that these appointments reflected competence and inclusivity.
The movement, according to Samuel, will continue to serve as a bridge between the APC and the electorate, ensuring that the Renewed Hope Agenda reaches every household across Nigeria.
The following is the official press release issued by Engr. Shegun Samuel, Convener of the APC Concerned Youth for Renew Hope Movement, outlining the group’s renewed dedication and expansion plans: Press Statement
7th September, 2025
We, the APC Concerned Youth for Renew Hope Movement, reaffirm our total commitment to strengthening the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Plateau State and across Nigeria. With our capacity and grassroots network, we stand ready to go from house to house, propagating the good works and visionary programs of our great party, ensuring that the Renewed Hope Agenda of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, reaches every household.
In recognition of the national stature of our leader, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, we have proudly expanded our structure. By next week, new branches will be unveiled in The Lord Doing Plaza, Chukun Kachi, Kaduna State, while arrangements are ongoing at 24 Lawma Road 2, Ewu Oluwo Elepe, Ikorodu, Lagos; Owode Housing Estate First Gate, opposite Tafo Hall, Apata, Ibadan, Oyo State; Cele Iri Oke Bus Stop, Robiyan Abule Bus Stop, Ogun State; and Nasarawa State. These expansions further demonstrate that our movement is not only thriving in Plateau but is also spreading its influence nationwide.
We pay glowing tribute to our father and leader, Distinguished Senator Simon Bako Lalong, former Governor of Plateau State, who has remained a strong pillar of the APC. From serving as Director-General of the Tinubu-Shettima Presidential Campaign Council, to his role as Minister of Labour and Employment, and now as a Senator of the Federal Republic, he has consistently shown loyalty, resilience, and dedication to the APC and to Plateau State.
Through his unwavering service, Plateau sons and daughters have been recognized and entrusted with strategic positions in the federal government—a clear testament to his selfless leadership.
We commend President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his confidence in the capacity of Plateau indigenes by appointing them into key positions. These appointments not only highlight competence and diversity, but also reaffirm Plateau’s central role in national development. Among them are:
Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda – APC National Chairman, bringing intellectual depth and political acumen to party leadership.
Dr. Cyril Tsenyil – Head, North Central Development Commission, championing infrastructural growth and peacebuilding.
Hon. Pam Botmang – Federal Character Commissioner, ensuring inclusivity and fairness in federal appointments.
Mrs. Mary Afan – Commissioner, Federal Population Commission, advancing women and youth empowerment.
David Daser – Head, Digital Bridge Institute, driving digital transformation and innovation.
These appointments reflect integrity, competence, and patriotism. We are confident that each of them will deliver transformative results in their respective capacities.
With these great strides, our morale is higher than ever. Plateau State is fully recognized, and APC remains our pride. We cannot be ashamed of Senator Simon Bako Lalong, nor of Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, for they have brought honor and dignity to our people.
As the APC Concerned Youth for Renew Hope Movement, we remain steadfast in our mission of grassroots mobilization and spreading the APC message across Plateau, Kaduna, Ibadan, Lagos, Nasarawa, and indeed, every part of Nigeria.
Signed:
