Sarkin Bukuru Leads Community in Eid Celebration, Calls for Peace and Unity

By: Labaran Ahmed The Chairman of Ja’ma’atu, Jos South Chapter, and Leader of the Bukuru Community, Alhaji Nasiru Muhammad, "Sarkin Bukuru", on Friday joined Muslim faithful in Bukuru to observe the Eid al-Fitr prayers, marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan. The prayers, held at the Bukuru Eid Ground in Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State, drew a large congregation of worshippers from within and neighbouring communities, reflecting the significance of the occasion in the Islamic calendar. Coach Ahmed Ibrahim Joins Muslims for Eid Prayers in Bukuru, Extends Sallah Greetings

By: Labaran Ahmed The Manager of Golden Boot Soccer (GBS) Academy, Coach Ahmed Ibrahim, popularly known as “Coach Bros,” on Friday joined millions of Muslims across the world to observe the Eid al-Fitr prayers at the Bukuru Eid Ground in Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State. Coach Ibrahim, who was accompanied by his family, joined other faithful and residents of Bukuru Ward in marking the end of the Ramadan fast in an atmosphere of devotion, unity, and celebration. Speaking shortly after the prayers, the football administrator extended warm Sallah greetings to the Muslim Ummah. On behalf of himself and his family, he wished Muslims in Bukuru and across the globe a peaceful and joyous Eid celebration. He also called on the faithful to sustain the values of sacrifice, tolerance, and love imbibed during the holy month of Ramadan, while promoting peace and harmony within their communities.

By: Labaran Ahmed  A non-profit organisation committed to rebuilding lives shattered by insecurity, Scarlet Cord Initiative for Women and Youth, has expanded its grassroots intervention to Gumel in Kachia Local Government Area of southern Kaduna, where it delivered a two-day holistic empowerment programme to about 100 widows traumatised by banditry, kidnapping and insurgency. Held in Gora community, the programme marked a decisive shift from short-term relief to sustainable empowerment, combining trauma psycho-support, mentorship, skills development, financial literacy and enterprise advocacy. Widows drawn from Awon, Ungwan Bawa, Gadanaji and Gora—communities repeatedly hit by violent attacks—were deliberately taken through healing before business training, ensuring that economic skills would take root on restored emotional ground.
