Plateau State Governor, Barr Caleb Manasseh Muftwang, has commissioned the Great Oaks Trauma-Informed Education Centre, a world-class educational facility spearheaded by Hon. Daniel Asama Ago, member representing Bassa/Jos North federal constituency. The facility, designed to provide quality education and support to traumatized children, marks a significant milestone in the state's efforts to promote education and child welfare.

The landmark project, a testament to the power of collaboration between Back2Back Ministries, USA, Hon. Daniel Asama, Member Representing Bassa/Jos North Federal Constituency, and Vineyard Church, Cincinnati, stands as a beacon of hope and compassion for orphans and vulnerable children who have been ravaged by years of insecurity and hardship. During the commissioning ceremony held at Great Oaks Academy, Kisaghip "B", Bassa Local Government Area, on August 4, 2025, Governor Mutfwang lauded the initiative as a tangible manifestation of the teachings of Jesus Christ.

"I commend Hon. Daniel Asama and all your partners for this remarkable act of love and kindness," the Governor stated. "You are truly living out the values of compassion and empathy by feeding the hungry, quenching the thirsty, and providing opportunities for the underprivileged. This is the essence of true ministry."

Governor Mutfwang also expressed his profound appreciation to Vineyard Church for their investment in the education and eternal well-being of human lives, assuring them that their efforts are being recorded in heaven and that their rewards are secure before God, regardless of worldly recognition. The Governor urged other privileged Nigerians to follow this exemplary model of generosity, cautioning that wealth not utilized to uplift others is ultimately futile. He pledged the full support of his administration to ensure that the school fulfills its transformative mission, thereby making a lasting impact on the lives of the children and the community.

In an Interview with Global News, Hon. Daniel Asama Ago speak on the Impact of the Great Oaks Academy

Hon. Daniel Asama Ago, Member Representing Bassa/Jos North Federal Constituency, shared a heartfelt testimonial about the impact of the Great Oaks Academy, a project of Back2Back Ministries International. "This initiative is more than just a numbers game; it's about making a tangible difference in the lives of many children. The positive effects are far-reaching, impacting not only the children but also the staff, the community, and me personally. I've seen these children grow and thrive, and some have even become part of our team. It's a testament to the power of perseverance and the impact that one organization can have on a child's life."

Asama conveyed a powerful message about the importance of giving and serving God. "Serving God is not an obligation; it's an opportunity. When we give, we're not just blessing others; we're also being blessed. God doesn't lack; He wants to bless us through our giving. I'm grateful for the impact that our partners have made, and I believe that their contributions will have a lasting impact on the lives of these children and the community."

Asama expressed his gratitude to Vineyard Church, a key partner in the education. "Vineyard Church has been our biggest partner in this education program in Nigeria. Their support has given us the energy and resolve to keep going, and we're grateful for their commitment to empowering the community and marginalized groups. This partnership is a testament to the spirit of togetherness and the impact that can be made when individuals and organizations come together to serve a common purpose."

Asama shared his personal story and journey into politics, highlighting his passion for making a bigger impact as a humanitarian. "I've always wanted to reach more people and make a greater difference in my community. I decided to join politics to create a bigger platform and serve a broader area, including my home state. As a congressman, I'm driven by the same desire to make a positive change for the youth, community, and country."

Asama reflected on the impact of a school like Back2Back, emphasizing the importance of making a difference in a child's life. "I love the slogan 'Make a difference for one.' It's a reminder that even if we can positively impact just one child's life, it's worth it. I've seen firsthand the transformative power of this approach, and I believe that every child deserves to be known, loved, and valued. If we can make a difference in just one child's life, it's enough."
