Hon. Jamilu Award "Yan Katifa" Youth's For Eradicating Consumption Of Dangerous Substances

The Youth Leadership of "Yan Katifa" Community of Bukuru, Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State has received Hon. Jamilu's Campaign Term Award Certificate for eradication of drugs abuse and dangerous substances that affected them in the community.


The "Yan Katifa" community harped on the underage children consuming substances that turned their lives into crime and criminality in the community.


Adding that the Youth group received acknowledgiment on drugs abuse,  underage girls, and thuggery which has  become source of concern in recent times in "Yan Katifa" community.


Jangles are spread across every nook and cranny of the street, while categories of girls are lured for you to feed and accommodate in exchange for sex.


The Bukuru Ward, Councilorship Candidate of the All Progress Congress (APC) in the further coming 9th of October 2024 election, Hon. Jamilu Isa Muhammad, awarded the Youth group of "Yan Katifa" for eradicating all sorts of hoodlums activities within the street.


The award certificate presentation for  "a Job Well Done" was held at the Treaders Association Office, Yan katifa Street, Yesterday. Hon. Jamilu Isa Muhammad popularly known as (Jamilu Keke) recognized Youth Group of "Yan katifa" for their outstanding contributions to the development of the community.


According to him, the award was given in recognition of the efforts made by the Youths group of "Yan katifa" in erasing these undeserved attitudes that destroyed many society. Adding that those vulnerable are mostly our mothers, sisters, wives and children.


He promise to provide full support to the Youths group and vigilantes who patrolling the nooks and crannies of the area, that he has similar activities to carry if elected into office, he assured voting him is like a prayers for economic prosperity of Bukuru communities.


Speaking at the event, the Director of the Campaign Movement, Hon. Bana Liman applaud the youths group for such a tremendous step and urged youth groups within Bukuru Metropolis facing similar problems to emulates steps taking by the youths of "Yan Katifa" in enabling sustainable and conducive environments.


"Although am aware of the various measures on place by Youth groups within Bukuru Metropolis that deserves kudos too" He stated.


Badamasi Isa Aliyu, the leader of the group, thanks Honourable Jamilu for finding time despite his tight schedule to come and appreciate what the youths group of Yan-Katifa did and the Award as well.


He further disclosed, "this Award is not only a recognition of our accomplishment but also a reflection of the incredible mentors and teammates who have stood by us in the journey. Thank you for being part of the journey."

By: Labaran Ahmed The Chief Magistrate Court, Grade 1 Area Court sitting in Nasarawa Gwang, Jos.  The hearing of the case filed against Mrs. Dorothy Bassi, for alleged criminal misappropriation, criminal breach of trust, cheating, cheating by impersonation, defamation, mischief and criminal intimidation has been fixed for 11th December, 2023. The court fixed the date for witnesses to be called on the matter against the accused person after assuming jurisdiction to hear the case. Earlier, the Counsel to Mrs. Dorothy Bassi, had filed a Preliminary Objection (PO) challenging the jurisdiction of the court to hear the matter citing the non-signing of the Particulars to the complaint by the complainant. Gov. Mutfwang Extends Teachers Retirement Age

Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang has graciously approved the extension of retirement age for teachers and School Administrators. The State Governor made this known through his Commissioner for secondary education, Hon. Muhammad S. Nyalun, on Thursday 5th Oct. during the celebration of world teacher's day, held at Rwang Pam Township Stadium, Jos. Com. S. Nyalun said, " His Excellency has graciously approved the extension of the retirement age for teachers and School administrators from the age of 60 to 65 years and 35 to 40 years respectively with effect from the 1st October 2023". According to him, "the rational behind the extension is for the experienced hands to go back to the classroom to teach and mentor the younger ones even after service in various administrative position".
