Plateau Youths Converge to Witness the Inauguration of the 17 LG Exco's

The Plateau State Youth Council (PYC) has inaugurated her Local Government Executives of the Youth Council Yesterday 29th of November 2024 at the Azi Nyako Youth Center Dadin Kowa Jos. Youths from the 17 Local Governments Areas of the State converge to witness the event.

The State Chairman of the Council Dr. Panan G. Dapar in his opening remarks, described the (PYC) elections which took place recently at the Local Governments level as one of the most properly organized elections conducted since the inception of the (PYC).

He praised the efforts of the Central Working Committee who has graciously set a phase to what the Council observed today, according to him, over the years, the constitution of the (PYC) had been treated like a piece of paper, but the (CWC) of the Council insisted that the details of the constitution as amended most be adhere to.

He lauded the newly inaugurated Local Governments Executives and encouraged them to contribute their quota to the development of their various Local Governments as proposed by the present administration which has the interest of youths at heart.

The (PYC) Chairman further appreciated the support given by the Plateau State Government through the Commissioner for Youth & Support Hon. Noel Nkup, Speaker Plateau State House of Assembly and SA to Governor on Youth, for insisted that Government most not interfere in the activities of youths in their elections.

On his part, the Speaker Plateau State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Gabriel K. Dewan was delight to witness the inauguration, saying the (PYC) remains his number one constituency, as he said he remained a Youth despite the fact that he is the speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly.

He charged the (PYC) leadership on unity, calling on the veterans to remove self interest and put Plateau youth interest first while mentoring the newly elected executives. The law maker also charged the EXCOs to shone politics and all affiliation in other to serve and represent the interest of all Plateau Youths.

College Of Health Matriculates 905 Newly Admitted Students Warns Against Cultists Activity

Dr Jonathan Bulus the Acting Provost made this disclosure known to newsmen at the college during the Matriculation and oath taking ceremony held at the school premises, Jos South LGA of Plateau State. Senator Joshua Dariye is a well respected son of Bokkos and has benefitted immensely from the support given to him by the good indigenes which helped in making him a two term governor and two term senator.  Dariye waded into many negative issues affecting Bokkos to secure its freedom and rights.  On this premise, the people listen to him whenever he speaks.
