PROF. DAKUM MIGHT SOON DEFECT TO APC

Reports reaching Global News reveal that from all indications Plateau State Labour Party, LP, governorship candidate in the 2023 general elections, Professor Patrick Sunday Dakum, his running mate, Hon. Edward Pwajok and their entire structure will soon defect to the All Progressives Congress, APC.
It is learnt that some ministers of the Federal Republic (not that from Plateau) and APC governors who are Dakum's friends are mounting much pressure on him coupled with some juggernauts from the state, to leave the Labour Party most especially now that it's in crisis, and to join their party.
The report has it that it will be too difficult for Dakum to turn down their plea in view of the bond between them and respect for each other and also considering the condition of the LP as stated by some sources closed to Dakum's and Edward Pwajok's aides who preferred anonymity.
When contacted, the Media Consultant to Professor Dakum, Shabul Mazadu, said options are being considered on the next political line of action which will soon be made public. However, pressures are being mounted for Dakum's defection which he sees it as show of love and appreciates each and everyone in all the political parties who wants him on their side.
"We really appreciate all the calls and support to join the APC, but hitherto a decision is not taken because there are so many variables to be considered. However, very soon the bubble will be bursted; and anything is possible. I can't rule that out, but don't take it as assurance.
"What is currently on Dakum's mind is to serve humanity better in love and verity and has series of activities lined up for that such as the flag-off of his son's Foundation coming up in April and his own in coming months after that. All these are exquisite efforts to serve humanity better," Mazadu said.
