2 Years of Progress: Governor Mutfwang's Administration Makes Strides in Infrastructure, Human Capital Development

Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, has marked a significant milestone in his leadership journey, celebrating two years in office. Despite the challenges, Governor Mutfwang's administration has remained committed to improving the lives of Plateau citizens.


Governor Mutfwang urged Plateau citizens to maintain the bond of unity and cooperation, essential for peaceful coexistence and development. He emphasized that the support he has received from the people of Plateau State has been overwhelming, cutting across tribe and religion, and challenged them to continue in that spirit.


Infrastructure Development: The administration has made significant progress in road infrastructure development, including the rehabilitation of critical roads within Jos-Bukuru metropolis.


Human Capital Development: The administration has prioritized human capital development, focusing on capacity building and efficient service delivery.


Security: Governor Mutfwang has worked tirelessly to restore security and sanity to affected areas, emphasizing the importance of community resilience and intra- and inter-community relations in reducing criminal activities and promoting security.


The Governor received assurances of support from traditional institutions, with His Majesty Da (Dr) Jacob Gyang Buba Gbong Gwom Jos, Chairman of the Plateau State Traditional Council of Chiefs and Emirs, pledging unalloyed support for the administration. Members of the National Assembly, traditional rulers, cabinet members, and former governors attended the thanksgiving service, demonstrating broad support for Governor Mutfwang's leadership.


The Governor outlined his vision for a self-sufficient and prosperous Plateau State, focusing on economic development, security, and community engagement. He emphasized the need for continued support and concerted efforts to realize this vision, making Plateau a major contributor to Nigeria's growth and development.


Deputy Governor Ngo Josephine Piyo said the thanksgiving service is a reminder of the values of hope, faith, and perseverance, qualities that have kept Plateau people united and focused even in challenging times. She stressed that Governor Mutfwang was proactive and wasted no time in hitting the ground running despite the numerous distractions encountered by high debt burden and an ailing civil service.


The thanksgiving service ended with a fervent prayer for the administration and Plateau State in general, marking a significant milestone in Governor Mutfwang's two years in office. The Governor's commitment to improving the lives of citizens and his vision for a prosperous Plateau State have been met with broad support from traditional institutions, government officials, and citizens.
