Propaganda Backfires: Hon. Daniel Asama Ago's Track Record Speaks Louder Than Baseless Attacks

A recent social media campaign aimed at tarnishing the image of Hon. Amb. Daniel Asama Ago, Member of the House of Representatives representing Bassa/Jos North Federal Constituency, has been exposed as a desperate attempt by opposition elements to discredit his achievements.

The controversy surrounds the Compulsory Voting Bill, which Hon. Asama co-sponsored with the Rt. Hon. Speaker of the National Assembly. Contrary to false claims, the bill is not unique to Nigeria, with countries like Australia, Belgium, and Luxembourg having similar mechanisms to enhance democratic participation.

The bill's withdrawal demonstrates Hon. Asama's responsiveness to public opinion and commitment to democratic accountability. This gesture showcases his character as a listening and responsive representative.

Beyond the controversy, Hon. Asama has an impressive track record, sponsoring over 14 vital bills and motions focused on education, healthcare, security, welfare, and development. His legislative efforts have earned him respect from colleagues and institutions nationwide.

The people of Jos North and Bassa are aware of Hon. Asama's tireless efforts, including humanitarian support, youth empowerment programs, educational scholarships, and ongoing security engagements. His productivity in the House has intimidated opposition forces, who now resort to baseless attacks.

North Central APC Forum Beseeches Prof. Dakum, Bar. Pwajok, Other LP Stakeholders To Return To APC
