By: Labaran Ahmed
A group of youths from Jos East Local Government Area, known as Patriotic Youths for Good Governance, has cautioned individuals seeking to sabotage the efforts of their leaders, particularly the Deputy Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly.
During their congress meeting in Jos, the group urged citizens to rally behind their elected and appointed officials, emphasizing the need for unity and support for the development of Jos East.
The group alleged that some individuals were hindering the progress of projects, including the CAN Secretariat construction, by instigating delays and compromising the standard of work despite payment to contractors. They also accused the Commissioner of Youth and Sports Development and other appointees of betrayal.
The Patriotic Youths for Good Governance expressed their commitment to good governance and passed a vote of confidence in the Deputy Speaker, commending him for executing over 150 projects in less than two years in office.
The group warned those they described as "black sheep" to desist from their actions or face exposure. They emphasized that their patriotism and commitment to the development of Jos East LGA is non-negotiable.
