A Message from Hon. Ambassador Mrs. Hannatu Gagara, Chairperson of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Plateau State
"To the general public, I wish to address a recent development that has brought confusion to the good people of Plateau State. Some individuals have falsely claimed my position as the Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Plateau State. I want to categorically state that I, Hon. Ambassador Mrs. Hannatu Gagara, am the authentic Chairman of ADC in Plateau State, duly recognized by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and serving as the IPAC Secretary in the state.
As evidence of my leadership, I participated in the last general elections and local government elections, and my name is registered with INEC. Despite these false claims, our party is experiencing unprecedented growth, with new members and coalition partners joining us daily. We welcome everyone to join us at our office located at Donkat Bali Way, Jos, Plateau State.
I am thrilled about the recent developments in our party, particularly the influx of new members and coalition partners. Our party's structure, which spans across all 17 local governments in Plateau State, is a testament to our commitment to progress. I attribute our success to God's blessings and our open-door policy, which will undoubtedly make us a winning party in Plateau State and Nigeria.
I want to assure the public that we have a strong relationship with the national level of our party, led by the Interim National Chairman, Distinguished Senator David Mark, and the Interim National Secretary, Barr. Aregbesola. Our meeting with the Interim National Chairman at his Abuja residence, alongside Senator David Mark, demonstrates our collaboration and commitment to advancing the party's interests.
I am not deterred by false claims to my position, as my focus is on restructuring the party and ensuring its growth. Our party's performance in the last local government election, where we secured a notable number of votes, is a testament to our potential. I am confident that Plateau people will vote for ADC in the upcoming general election due to our growing popularity and acceptance.
In conclusion, I urge the public not to be intimidated by these false claims. I am the authentic Chairman of ADC in Plateau State, and I look forward to continuing our work towards progress and development in our great state".
