The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has taken a significant step in consolidating its presence in Plateau State, holding a crucial meeting with its 17 Local Government Chairmen at its office along Donkat Bali Way, Jos, on July 23, 2025. Chaired by Ambassador Mrs. Hannatu Gagara, the State Chairperson of ADC, the meeting aimed to brief the chairmen on the party's direction and mobilize them to work effectively towards a common goal.

According to Ambassador Gagara, the party is experiencing a surge in new membership from all 17 local governments across the state. "We've distributed party registers to each local government, enabling them to reach every ward in Plateau State and streamline the registration process for new members," she said. She praised the dedication of party members from the local governments, acknowledging their vital role in solidifying the party's presence in the state.

Ambassador Gagara emphasized the party's mission to bring effective leaders to the forefront, leaders who will prioritize the people's needs, tackle poverty and hunger, and ensure peace and security for all citizens. "We offer a unique approach to politics, one that prioritizes the welfare of citizens and fosters a culture of peace and security," she noted. "Our ideology is distinct from the usual politics you see today."

The ADC chairperson highlighted the party's inclusive nature, open to everyone without any form of godfatherism or favoritism. "This platform is open to all," she declared. "You can join freely, register, become a member, and even contest elections at any time." This approach has resonated with many seeking a party that truly represents the people.

As the ADC continues to strengthen its presence in Plateau State, Ambassador Gagara believes the party is poised to significantly influence the state's political trajectory. With its growing membership and unwavering commitment to improving citizens' lives, the party is emerging as a formidable opposition force that will shape the state's future. "Our message of hope and inclusivity has resonated with many, and our determination to address pressing challenges is evident in our efforts to mobilize and empower our members," she added.

With its distinctive ideology and commitment to citizen welfare, the ADC is set to leave a lasting impact on Plateau State's politics, offering a fresh perspective and new direction for the state.
