PROF. PATRICK DAKUM FELICITATES SENATOR DARIYE ON HIS 68TH BIRTH ANNIVERSARY
The Chief Executive Officer of the Institute of Human Virology Nigeria (IHVN) and Professor of Public Health at the School of Medicine, University of Maryland, Baltimore, USA, Prof. Patrick Dakum, extends warm felicitations to Senator Dr. Joshua Chibi Dariye on the occasion of his 68th birthday.
Prof. Dakum, a former Commissioner of Information and Health under Senator Dariye's administration, praised the renowned leader, affectionately known as "Head Boy," for his significant contributions to humanity, democracy, and leadership in Plateau State and beyond. He commended Senator Dariye for the lasting legacies he left in the health, education, and other sectors, noting that his governance style was reminiscent of the legacy of Joseph Dechi Gomwalk.
Some of Senator Dariye's notable achievements highlighted by Prof. Dakum include the establishment of General Hospitals in Tunkus (Mikang LGA), Angware (Jos East LGA), and Dengi (Kanam LGA), as well as the founding of the College of Agriculture Garkawa, College of Arts and Remedial Studies Kurgwi, and Plateau State University Bokkos. Additionally, Prof. Dakum mentioned the expansion of HND courses in Plateau State Polytechnic from 2 to 14 and the relocation of the College of Education Gindiri to its permanent site.
Prof. Dakum described Senator Dariye as a philanthropist, a lover of God, and an epitome of resilience and ingenuity. He wishes Senator Dariye divine health, knowledge, wisdom, and understanding, as well as many more years of progress and prosperity ahead.
