A CALL TO UNITY AND CLARITY: ADC PLATEAU STATE CHAPTER

I, Hon. Amb. Mrs Hannatu Gagara, recently had the privilege of attending a pivotal meeting in Abuja, which convened 37 state chairmen alongside the interim leadership of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), led by the esteemed former Senate President David Mark and distinguished members of the National Working Committee (NWC).

Contrary to assertions made by Hon. Samuel Pam Gyang, he was notably absent from the meeting, despite his claims to the contrary regarding his position as State Chairman. His subsequent media appearances have, however, generated confusion, which is unbefitting of the people of Plateau State and unacceptable to our party.

The meeting served as a clarion call to Hon. Samuel Pam Gyang and others who may misconstrue the ADC coalition's objectives. Our coalition's true purpose is to "unify and support states in building a more robust and inclusive party that benefits all".

The national body's affirmation of state chairmen as 'partners in building a stronger political party' is a resounding vote of confidence that emboldens us to redouble our efforts. The leadership's commitment to unity and inclusivity is evident, and we are well-equipped to address any attempts to sow discord.

As seasoned politicians, we remain undeterred by individuals seeking to undermine our positions. The national body's inclusive approach has facilitated our active participation in negotiations, fostering a sense of ownership and motivation. This, in turn, has galvanized our efforts to mobilize support, resulting in a substantial influx of new members at our Jos office.

We are heartened by the overwhelming response, with thousands joining our ranks. We extend an invitation to even more individuals to join us on this journey, showcasing the party's dedication to diverse perspectives and talents. By doing so, the ADC is bridging longstanding gaps in our nation's political landscape and redefining the contours of inclusive governance.

To the good people of Plateau State, I wish to assure you that our national leadership will not countenance any illegitimate claims or attempts to undermine the party's structure. Let us remain resolute in our pursuit of building a stronger, more inclusive party, disregarding unfounded claims and distractions.

Together, let us forge a brighter future for Plateau State and Nigeria! Join us in our mission to create a more inclusive and prosperous society.

Sincerely,

Hon. Amb. Hannatu Gagara
Chairperson, ADC Plateau State Chapter
