Eid Mubarak: Hon. Silas Patrick Dung's Kindness Touches Hearts in Anguwan Miango
By: Labaran Ahmed
Hon. Silas Patrick Dung's kindness has truly made a significant impact on the Anguwan Miango community. His generous gesture of sharing bags of rice to the Muslim community in Jos South, including Anguwan Miango, demonstrates his commitment to the well-being of his people. This act of kindness has brought joy and appreciation to the community, particularly among the elders, youth, and security forums.
As the Executive Chairman of Jos South Local Government, Hon. Dung's leadership and vision are evident in his initiatives, such as the "Budget of Restoration." This budget aims to rebuild infrastructure, improve social services, and create economic opportunities for residents. His focus on improving social services, including upgrading healthcare facilities, enhancing education infrastructure, and providing support for vulnerable populations, has been witnesses by the communities.
The Anguwan Miango Youth Forum has praised Hon. Dung's innovative development plans, which promote infrastructure, social services, and security. By voluntary participation, the Youth Forum has established committees working on power, water, sanitation, mediation, and security, committed to the development of the Anguwan Miango Community and Jos South at large.
Hon. Dung's kindness and leadership have earned him respect and support from the community. His ability to bring people together, as seen in his efforts to unite Muslims for Sallah celebrations, has earned him recognition from stakeholders in Anguwan Miango and respect from Gyel Ward, who adopted him as their candidate during election.
On the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, the people of Anguwan Miango Community humbly request Hon. Dung's consideration in the ongoing borehole construction project. The community has been grappling with an acute water shortage, which has severely impacted daily life. Access to clean water would greatly alleviate their suffering, foster improved health, and stimulate economic growth within the community.
The scarcity of clean water has exacerbated health concerns, hindered economic development, and strained social relationships within our community. As a result, we are compelled to rely on distant, unreliable water sources, further exacerbating the challenges we face.
In light of these circumstances, we respectfully appeal to your office to include Anguwan Miango Community in the borehole construction project. Access to clean water would greatly alleviate our suffering, foster improved health, and stimulate economic growth within our community.
We express our sincere gratitude for your dedication to the welfare of Jos South Local Government and eagerly await your favorable response to our plea.
As Aliyu Ibrahim, Chairman of the Anguwan Miango Youth Forum, noted, "A little kindness goes a long way." Hon. Dung's thoughtfulness and generosity have indeed gone a long way in touching the hearts of the Anguwan Miango community.
